Yard Scooping

Do I have to sign a contract?
No. In fact there are no set up fees either. For whichever schedule you sign up for (once a week, every other week, or once a month), you would pay in advance for 4 weeks. You are then billed every 4 weeks. You can cancel at any time and your services will be completed for that current month. We also offer a one-time only service for those that just want a single scooping not on a schedule.

What is the cost for service?
Rates start as low as $8 per visit, rates increase with the number of dogs. There are no setup fees. Please see all yard scooping rates here.

Do you service my area and what would my service day be?
We service Asheville and surrounding areas Monday through Friday – your service day will be scheduled depending on your geographical location.

Mondays:   West Asheville, Candler
Tuesdays:   Arden, Fletcher, South Asheville
Wednesdays:   North Asheville, Woodfin, Weaverville
Thursdays:   East Asheville, Fairview
Fridays:   Hendersonville

Note that an additional day will be added for those signing up for twice per week service.

How do I pay?
For your convenience, we offer online payment forms that accept credit and debit cards displaying the Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express logos. Your card will then be charged on a monthly (4-week) basis for the rate at which you choose. Recurring payments can be set up here. You can also choose to pay a one-time only fee if you would like just a single scooping not on a schedule.

How do I start service?
You can call, or simply fill out the form online to give us some basic information. There you can choose to set up your recurring payment or wait to hear from us first.

Is your service refundable?
No. We do not offer any refunds. You pay in advance for 4 weeks. This is so that we can better organize our schedule weeks out. If you are not happy with your service, please let us know so we can make it right!

What if I don’t need my yard scooped on a certain week?
Are you taking your dog on vacation or boarding him for the week? No problem! Just notify us before your service day so we know not to scoop and your next billing date will be extended out another week.

Are you insured?
Yes we carry workers compensation and liability insurance.

Do you work on Christmas?
Yes, in fact Pet Poo Skiddoo offers their services all year round including all major holidays.

Do I have to be home while you work?
No. Please let us know of anything that could possibly hinder us from getting to your yard such as a locked gate or steep driveway so that we can discuss the best solution.

Is there an extra charge if I have a large yard?
No, but in rare cases we may scoop only a certain portion per session in order to clear the grounds properly and in a timely manner.

Is there an extra charge if I have large dogs?
No. No matter what size your dog, we see it as being equally challenging. While larger dogs might produce larger amounts, it is harder to spot the ones the little guys put out.

What happens if it snows or rains?
We will still come to scoop your yard rain or shine. If it is heavy rain or thunderstorm, we can simply wait until it has passed. If heavy snowfall occurs or any other weather condition that prevents us from scooping that day, service will be delayed a week, and the following will be applied to your next billing cycle:

  • Once per week – Your account will be credited 50% off the regular fee for that service date
  • Once every other week – Your account will be credited 25% off the regular fee for that service date
  • Once per month – Your account will be credited 15% off the regular fee for that service date

What do you do with the scooped poop?
We bag and seal the waste to take it safely off your property and dispose of it ourselves so your trash can won’t have that unpleasant odor.

Can my dog be in the yard when you scoop?
Yes. But only if your dog plays nice 🙂 Please let us know if you would like the scooper to text you when they are on their way so you have time to bring your dog in if you prefer.

How do I cancel my service?
We’ll be sorry to see you go! If you need to cancel, simply call (828.668.2055) or email us (petpooskiddoo@gmail.com) at least 48 hours in advance before your next payment is scheduled.

Pet Sitting

What is cost of service?
For check-ins, short visits (25 min) are $15 and extended visits (45 min) are $28. An overnight stay (8pm – 7am) is $65 per night. These rates are the same for up to 4 dogs at the home. Discounts available when signing up for multiple visits.

When are you available to pet sit?
Morning check-ins are available to schedule for between 6am and 8am while nighttime check-ins are available from 7pm and 10pm. Overnight stays are available 7 days a week, although space is limited.

Do you service my area?
We service Asheville and surrounding areas including Weaverville, Swannanoa, Hendersonville, Arden, Candler, Fairview, and Fletcher. Don’t see your town listed? Please contact us and we’ll let you know if we can service your area.

What’s included when you pet sit?
Basically whatever you need to have done that we can accomplish within the allotted amount of time. For either a check-in or overnight stay, we will not only spend time with your dog, but we can check your mail, water your plants, bring out the trash, as well as do other chores around the house.

Do you walk my dog while you pet sit?
Yes, one dog walk is included with a check-in, and at least two are included during an overnight stay.

How do I pay?
For your convenience, we offer online payment forms that accept credit and debit cards displaying the Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express logos. When you receive an invoice, you may either make a one-time payment online here or mail a check to “Pet Poo Skiddoo P.O. Box 18922 Asheville, NC 28814″. For overnight stays, we prefer a 50% deposit of the total invoice prior to service.

How do I start service?
You can call (828.668.2055), email (petpooskiddoo@gmail.com), or simply fill out a form online to give us some basic information. We will then contact you to set up an initial consultation for us to meet your pet(s) and receive the key to your home.

Is your service refundable?
Yes, although we require being notified of a cancellation at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled date. If cancellation is made in less than that time period, we will offer a partial refund or you can save that credit for a future service.

Do you keep my key after services are rendered?
That is up to you. We can keep your key for future pet sitting services or return to you soon after.
